The Longer I Live

the More Beautiful Life Becomes.

Residential Accommodations and Services

In our New York locations, which are in Brooklyn, Westbury, and Pelham Gardens, we offer attractively furnished private and semi-private air conditioned rooms and suites. In our New Jersey location which is in Elizabeth NJ, we offer studio and one-bedroom apartments. Residents also enjoy lounges, libraries and outdoor patios, designed with their comfort in mind. A wide variety of stimulating recreational and social activities enriches the lives of our seniors. We believe a person is never too old to learn something new. Opportunities to shop, visit local attractions, and participate in community events are offered as well. Three delicious meals, afternoon tea and evening refreshments are served in our beautiful dining rooms. Personal laundry and daily housekeeping eliminate household chores and worries. State of the art safety and security features are utilized to ensure peace of mind around the clock.

ASSISTED LIVING

Assisted Living is a residential and social setting where each individual can receive as much or as little care as needed.  When living at home is no longer safe or desirable, this lifestyle is an attractive option.

An Assisted Living residence allows people to maintain their personal best by pairing independence and stimulating social activities with support – including residential services, medical supervision, and personal care assistance.

Aging in Place

Maturing is a natural process that extends over a lifetime. When an environment adapts to meet the evolving needs of older people, they are more likely to remain in familiar surroundings. “Aging in place” allows comfort and continuity throughout those changed. Amber Court Assisted Living Communities are designed to help residents manage new challenges with grace, dignity, and success. Our emphasis on safety and health is coupled with physical, emotional and spiritual support. Maintaining optimal independence is always a top priority at each stage. With our “aging in place” orientation, most residents can choose to live with us as long as they desire.

Financial Freedom

We are proud of our policy, which allows luxury you can afford. An individual can “age in place” with the knowledge that, should assets be depleted, they can continue to enjoy the safety and comfort of their Amber Court Assisted Living Community residence.

Ask a Community Representative to discuss this policy with you.

Medical Supervision

Amber Court Assisted Living Communities provides all residents with comprehensive health services. Each community has a professional team specializing in gerontology, with regular office hours on the premises.

Physicians in internal medicine, cardiology, optometry, audiology, podiatry, and geriatric psychology make routine visits. On-site nursing, physical therapy, laboratory services and medication management, when needed, all contribute to making excellent care easily accessible.

Personal Care Assistance

We understand and respect each person’s individuality and needs, which is why we meet with each new resident and their family and conduct an assessment prior to move-in. For residents requiring a higher level of personalized care, our on–site Home Care Services offers a package of increased services at an additional fee. Those who need extra help with ambulation, transfer, eating, bathing, dressing, incontinence care, grooming, and personal hygiene benefit from support at this level. It enables seniors to “age in place” with discreet, compassionate and appropriate care.

Medicaid Funded Assisted Living

Individuals needing a higher level of personal care may be eligible for Medicaid funding. Qualifications for the NY Assisted Living Program (ALP), the NJ Assisted Living Medicaid Waiver or other Medicaid options can be discussed with an Amber Court Assisted Living Community Representative.
